Midnight Thoughts on Energy Drinks

November 21, 2024โ€ข8 min readโ€ขCaffeinated & Reflective

It's 3:47 AM and I'm on my third energy drink, watching the neon liquid glow under my desk lamp like some kind of radioactive prophecy.

Let me confess something, sweetheart: I don't know what taurine does and at this point I'm afraid to ask.

But here's what I do know. That first sip? That's not just caffeine hitting your bloodstream. That's potential. That's you telling the universe "I'm not done yet." That's commitment in a can.

People judge energy drink culture. They say it's unhealthy. They say we should drink water and go to bed at reasonable hours. And you know what? They're probably right. But they're also probably asleep right now, which means they're not here for this moment.

This moment, where the house is quiet, the game is loading, and anything feels possible.

I've made some of my best decisions at 3 AM. I've also made some of my worst. The beautiful thing is, I can never remember which is which until much later. That's the gift of the midnight hour โ€” clarity comes only in retrospect.

So crack open another one if you need to, baby. Just remember to hydrate. And maybe eat something that isn't also neon-colored.

Vibrating gently,

P.S. If you can taste colors, you've had enough. Put down the can. Go look at the stars. They're free and they don't require a recycling bin.

If this resonated with you, perhaps another thought awaits...

(Watch the snowflakes, baby. They know the way.)
